Nendoroid Priecia PVC Figure Good Smile Company

I got to know about Prism Ark from the anime and the nendoroid Priecia PVC figure was a pleasant surprise when announced by Good Smile Company. Now, GSC has always delivered great quality and designs, and this PVC figure of nendoroid Princess Priecia is no exception. One look at it and nothing on your mind other than kawaii desu!

Nendoroid Priecia’s tsundere face is classic and I really love the detail of her hair. Sculptor JUN(E.V.) has a winner with this one!

According to the product description, you will be able to recreate some of Priecia’s action poses other than the classic aww gosh expressions. I have always preferred the latter anyway when it comes to nendoroids and figmas. There is also a nice extra to this nendoroid Priecia PVC figure in the form of the miniature Kagura figure. Very cute! Priecia’s sword appears to be quite finely sculpted as well so I am looking forward to getting this. Retail price is quoted at 4,000 yen but as usual you can get it cheaper if you pre-order from Hobby Search at 3,619 yen, while Hobby Link Japan has it at 1 yen more at 3,620 yen. Unfortunately, Amazon Japan does not appear to be stocking it just yet.

For those not familiar with Priecia, here’s the OP of the anime series Prism Ark:

Black Rock Shooter PVC Figure Good Smile Company

When news of this Black Rock Shooter PVC figure from Good Smile Company was first released, pictures of this 1/8 scale figure simply blew me away. The setting, base, post, and details of this upcoming Black Rock Shooter PVC figure were all excellent and looked top notch. The dark colors were amazing and the eyes of Black Rock Shooter appear to glow under the lighting (whether it does or not in the actual product is anybody’s guess). For those who are not familiar with her, Black Rock Shooter was orginally created by huke, and further brought to life in a PV that featured ryo’s song for the character. The reception was and still is fantastic and has gained huge popularity. Whether this might then eventually lead to other forms such as a Black Rock Shooter Figma might be anybody’s guess, but the likelihood is high considering how well received this was.

This particular PVC figure has Black Rock Shooter holding on to her Rock Cannon in an alluring pose. I particularly loved the way the hair has been sculpted to flow mysteriously in the night, and the contrast between her sexy black boots and pale white skin is just striking. The base is also a feature to the figure, adding much to the mood and tone of it in my opinion. The chains on the cannon were a nice addition as well and just highlight her seductive charm in a special way. Now that I think about it, a Black Rock Shooter Figma could indeed be a great addition to the series, since it could lead to a lot of cross posing between other characters. Sculptor Akeji has done a brilliant job. For more pictures of her, you can find it on Good Smile’s blog.

Retail price for the Black Rock Shooter PVC 1/8 figure will be at 9,800 yen and will be released in August. You can find it cheaper and preorder it on Amazon Japan at 7,427 yen with free shipping, or from Hobby Search at 8,867 yen.
