Most would take one look at this Fate-T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC figure from Alter and think it is a clear winner. Not much disagreement either from me but after looking at it for awhile, it will not necessarily be a must-buy for me. The details of the hair on the Fate-T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC figure are fantastic, especially with the flailing in the wind effect, but it is also an effect one too many for me. The design and pose are both graceful and stylish at the same time, and might still leave me to regret my decision not to pick the figure up, but there is just something about the overall space it takes up that is putting me off.

Without a proper stand, the figure might also bend in the future but since this Fate-T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC figure is from the trusted makers of Alter, one expects little chance of that happening. I’m also a sucker for really decorative bases that add to the overall effect of a figure’s pose or design, regardless of the extra costs that might bring. This figure fails to live up to my own expectations in that department.

That said, the Fate-T-Harlaown True Sonic Form PVC figure does look really stylish from certain angles. At a retail of 12,800 yen, quite pricey but fans will no doubt lap it up despite that. Those in the Asia region can get it slightly cheaper at Hobby Search or HobbyLink Japan for 12,160 yen as it is now available for pre-order, to be released in August 2009. Amazon Japan does not appear to have it in stock just yet but if they do, I expect it to be much cheaper. I do not see myself buying this though, and very much prefer to spend my money on the Black Rock Shooter PVC figure instead.
